Autism 101: Engaging and Understanding Students with ASD

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.

The purpose of this session is to give participants an understanding of the defining characteristics of students with autism along with some basic evidence-based practices to engage students and help them to reach their potential in all settings. Students identified as having autism have increased in number across the state, as well in Dare County, so all those involved in serving students are in need of awareness and understanding to ensure these students will continue to be challenged, feel safe and have fun at school! Bring a computer to this session.
